About Founder's Weekend
Mars Hill Fellowship Church is a community of believers who passionately love God with all of their heart, soul, mind, and strength and love their neighbors as themselves because they have been TRANSFORMED by the power of the gospel. The reality of the gospel enables us to connect to God, our family + community, our vocation and our world in a meaningful way.
Each year at Mars Hill Fellowship Church, we set aside one weekend to pause, reflect, rejoice, and give thanks for all that God has done in the life of our church.

Friday - Worship Service
The theme/focus of the Founders Weekend will be “We Are,” with a scriptural emphasis on 1 John 3:1-2. We have planned a special time of worship.
Guest Speaker: Pastor Kenny Grant
Kenny Grant was born and raised in Brunswick, Georgia. He has served as pastor for churches in both Brunswick and Savannah for many years. A former Marine Drill Instructor, Kenny has a unique style of teaching and preaching. He communicates the Word of God with insight, clarity, passion, and conviction. Often punctuated with humor, his impactful messages always leave his audiences informed, inspired, and equipped to apply God's word to their daily lives.
Currently, Kenny serves as the Senior Pastor at Calvary Baptist Temple in Savannah, Georgia. Kenny's teaching ministry has extended to a wide range of groups and events throughout the United States.
Kenny's wife, Shirley “completes him.” They are the parents of four children and one grandchild: Kenetha, Gina, Kenny, Jr., Kameron and Keara.
Musical Guest: Gary Lyon and Living Water
Living Water began its quest of spreading the good news of Jesus Christ in November 2005. It was at this time that each member of the group made a significant commitment to the vision of Living Water. The vision crosses all lines of communication by sharing a ‘simple praise’ to God’s people. It is also believed that God has designed Living Water to complete this task by using each member collectively as a vessel to bring the vision to fruition.
Since its founding, Living Water has gained a dedicated following within the gospel community, while building relationships in the larger community by singing for audiences at local festivals, corporate events, conferences and schools throughout New England. Lyon says that working with Living Water is a charge that he cannot avoid. The messages shared by Living Water are like streams of water that flow from within him and bubble over…for the encouragement and inspiration of anyone open to the life-changing power of the gospel in song.
