biblical fasting is the voluntary abstinence from food for a spiritual purpose.  Fasting is a spiritual discipline that is an integral part of a believer’s walk with God. Fasting changes us - as much as it changes the circumstances before us.

WHAT ARE OUR OBJECTIVES FOR THIS FAST?

  1. To pray corporately for the Easter Sunday Worship Celebration.
  2. To prepare our hearts individually to receive from the Lord.
  3. To ask for the Lord’s favor in the planning + execution of all the events leading up to the Worship Celebration.
  4. To express faith that the Lord will move powerfully in the gathering.
  5. To remove any hindrances from our hearts and minds before receiving from the Lord.

WHAT TYPE OF FAST ARE WE DOING?

  • We are asking all members of Mars Hill Fellowship Church to join in a partial fast from 6AM - 6PM daily.  This partial fast may include abstaining from all meals during this time or a Daniel fast. 

WHAT EVENTS ARE TAKiNG PLACE DURING THE FAST?

  • We will be joining together for prayer via conference call during our fasting time.  The conference call details are below:

  • Logistics + Planning for Sunday Worship Celebration on 04.21.2011
  • For God to stir the hearts of those who have been invited to service to come out for service
  • For salvation commitments to the Lord from the Sunday Worship Celebration
  • For many to make on-going commitments to be a part of Mars Hill Fellowship Church
  • For all of the churches in the Greater Boston area that will be hosting services
