KEY THEME |

In order to walk in the fullness of God’s beauty, we must allow God to help us forget the trouble of life’s experiences and to re-prioritize our affections.

1)    The promise that God has made everything beautiful in its time reminds us that there are times/seasons associated with the development of our circumstances.

a.  Some circumstances are at the time of external beauty, some at the time of internal beauty but all of them are God’s beauty.

2)   Walking in God’s beauty requires us to forget the past trouble along life’s journey.

a.  Every journey in life with have labor pains associated with it, some difficult, some more bearable.  We must recognize the joy associated with the new birth after we have experienced the labor [John 16:21]

b.  Forgetting doesn’t erase the past or negate the work in rebuilding what was lost.

c.  Forgetting the trouble is walking in true forgiveness, while pressing towards an onward goal.

d.  Joseph, son of Jacob, allowed the process of forgetting + forgiveness to birth reconciliation + renewal.

3)    Walking in God’s beauty requires us to re-prioritize our affections.

a.  Joseph had to re-prioritize his affection for the things that were associated with his Father’s household

b.  Though he desired provision, protection, love, and relationship, he had to allow God to manifest it in God’s design and timing.
