KEY THEME |

As we are made alive in Christ, God continues to work within us to change our hearts and thus, enabling us to do good deeds that He prepared in advanced for us to do.

1)    God desires more than religion from us, He wants a relationship.  Part of that relationship includes the transformation process.

a.  We are continuously being transformed so that we conform to the likeness of Jesus Christ.

2)   God created us as part of his workmanship (work of art or masterpiece)

a.  God is the author of the masterpiece and it is not a result of our own efforts.

b.  When we were dead in our transgressions and sins, our best efforts would never be able to meet God’s standard.

3)   We were created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do

a.  God is the author of the masterpiece and it is not a result of our own efforts.

b.  God, through His Holy Spirit, works in us to will and to act according to his good purpose. (Php 2:13).

c.  As part of God’s workmanship, He has created us to be fruitful, which we could not do on our own accord. The fruit that we are to bear is the good works that are a part of His glory.

d.  God has ordered our steps so that we could become part of His overall masterpiece of declaring His glory and honor in the earth.
