KEY THEME |

I. What we can accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. With the hand of the Master, our life's work truly can be beautiful.

II. There are three disciplines that we can practice to place ourselves in the master’s hands.

III. Availability

    1. There is a difference between a servant, and one who serves out of obligation. The servant is available for whatever the master desires, without expecting reward, without setting conditions and requirements. On the other hand, one who serves out of obligation will define what they will do, and how they will do it. If what the master needs doesn't fall within those bounds, then they won't do anything. God is looking for servants.

IV. Relationship

    1. Have you ever tried to give advice to someone you don't know. Most likely, they won't take it. We're no different. Without a true relationship with God, we're not going to listen to what the Spirit has to say to us. In face, we won't even be able to recognize His voice.
    2. If we make ourselves available and listen, God will speak to us.

V. Obedience

    1. The willingness to obey God comes through a healthy relationship with Him. As God speaks, we have to do something with what He says. It doesn't matter if we like what He told us or not, what matters is that we obey.
