What a great day for Apple Picking!

Mmmm, Delicious!

Thank You to all those who attended the 2nd Annual Mars Hill Fellowship Apple Picking Family Day on Saturday 10.09.2010.  Due to picking conditions, we had to change venues from Connors Farm (sorry to those who didn't get the update), but we had a great time at Honey Pot Hill Orchards.

Honey Pot Hill had a number of activities including:

  • Seven different types of apples: Cortland, Red Delicious, Golden Delicious, Mutsu, Spencer, Spartan and Empire
  • Pears
  • Apple Cider + Cider Donuts
  • Hedge Maze
  • Hayride (with some scary looking pumpkins. I hope the kids weren't scarred for life)
  • Farm Animals (including the duck/chicken!)

We had over 40 people in attendance.  Thank you to the Outreach Team for planning and logistics (and lunches). Thanks to Jenn Doo and Loretta Faluade for the photography.  If you missed out, we hope that you can join us next year.
