Let’s Talk Notes – Week of April 28, 2013
Message: Renew Your Works in Us
Scripture: Habakkuk 3:2
1) Share a book, movie or TV show that you really enjoy.
2) As you reflect back on last weekend’s sermon, what one principle or insight stands out as being particularly helpful, insightful or difficult to grasp? Were you challenged in any area of your personal walk with God?
3) What would it take to make God famous? Write a headline about God that you would share with your friends that would capture their attention.
4) Why do some people stop at an awareness of God’s fame rather than allowing themselves to be transformed by that fame? In your own walk, what did it take for God to become real for you?
5) Pastor Joseph listed 7 characteristics of God that are true throughout all generations. Pick one characteristic and give an example of how God has demonstrated that characteristic in your life and in the life of someone before your time (family member, friend, biblical character)
6) Read Deuteronomy 6:10-15. What happens when we forget the Lord and his ways? How does our perspective affect our ability to recognize that God is working in our midst?
7) It takes faith to believe that God can work in our generation the same way that He has worked throughout previous generations. How can you pray for this generation and our understanding of God and His ways?
