Dear Greater Boston + Brookline Community,
It is that time of the year again where all the leaves are colorful and the weather is getting
colder. It is also time to celebrate this fun season with a Harvest Festival! Please join together for fun fellowship with all the children in Deeply Rooted Children’s Ministry of Mars Hill Fellowship Church. Here are the activites and guidelines of the night.
Costumes
Children are allowed to wear costumes if permitted by the family. All costumes should be related to
Biblical stories. This could include (but not limited to):
• People (Moses, Mary, an apostle, an angel,)
• Objects (cross, stone, fish, bread, lion, bible)
Please do not dress your child in ANYTHING that is demonic or scary- the little children are easily
frightened and it is inappropriate for this occasion.
Activities
There will be 5 stations for children to engage in different fun activites. (all of these stations will be
supervised by adults)
When the children arrive they will receive a treat bag that they will carry around to each station.
After they participate in the activity, they will receive a treat (healthy snacks, toys)! This is a safe and fun alternative for “trick or treating”.
Do you want to help?
If you would like to volunteer, please let any of the Deeply Rooted teachers know (
). These are some of the areas that we need volunteers:
• Supervise activities
• Bring food
• Donate bags of candy and healthy snacks
• Lead games
Live Rooted,
Deacon Candice Lespinasse
