Praying for Mars Hill Fellowship

As a church, we prioritize Spirit-led prayer as an essential part of living a Christ-centered life.  We rely on fervent, passionate and effectual prayer in the conception, planning, execution, and evaluation of ministries and activities. (Colossians 1:9-14, Psalms 37:5)

The scriptures give us confidence as we pray:

  • The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.  [James 5:16]
  • 1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2 for kings and all those in authority… [1 Timothy 2:1-2]
  • 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. [2 Corinthians 10:4-5]
  • 14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. [1 John 5:14-15]

With these principles in mind, we are thankful for those who would join in praying for Mars Hill Fellowship Church.  We desire for you to be timely, direct and strategic in your intercession, so we have created this prayer page.

We envision Mars Hill Fellowship Church as a multicultural and multi-ethnic expression of passionate believers unified around the purpose of worshipping God in Spirit and in truth. We see believers learning how to worship through a diversity of styles and expressions that bring glory to God. We stand in faith that the authenticity of our worship will inspire others to come into a personal relationship with Him

  • Pray for the our congregation to represent the ethnic and racial diversity of heaven  - multicultural and multi-ethnic.
  • Pray for a passion to see God's transforming work take place in the cities of Alston, Brighton, Brookline and the Greater Boston region.
  • Pray for the worship team as they work on recording their first album.
  • Pray for the opportunites to find joy in expressions of worship other than our primary worship preference.
  • Pray that the music ministry of Mars Hill Fellowship Church would usher people into a deeper, more intimate relationship with God.
