Praying for Mars Hill Fellowship

As a church, we prioritize Spirit-led prayer as an essential part of living a Christ-centered life.  We rely on fervent, passionate and effectual prayer in the conception, planning, execution, and evaluation of ministries and activities. (Colossians 1:9-14, Psalms 37:5)

The scriptures give us confidence as we pray:

  • The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.  [James 5:16]
  • 1 I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2 for kings and all those in authority… [1 Timothy 2:1-2]
  • 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. [2 Corinthians 10:4-5]
  • 14 This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 15 And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. [1 John 5:14-15]

The witnessing of the Gospel in the Marketplace, our Communities and the World

We envision Mars Hill Fellowship Church as an innovative church that is cognizant of the cultural and societal landscape in which we live. We see a church that creatively and effectively employs multimedia, the technical and performing arts as well as the Internet as channels for sharing the gospel in the marketplace, in the city and throughout the world.

  1. Pray for the resources to implement innovative outreach channels through social media, Internet and broadcast radio.
  2. Pray for equipment to record video from services.
  3. Pray for the worship team as they work on recording their first album.
  4. Pray for the upcoming Christmas Musical Extravaganza. That the event would reach other to unbelievers interested in the arts.
  5. Pray for opportunities for Mars Hill Fellowship Pastors and members to creatively share the gospel in the marketplace.
  6. Pray for ingenuity in reaching the lost, broken-hearted, and disenfranchised.
